The Art Down Under
Australian art is known to have its own magnificence. Their art can be separated into two types which are mainly, one the aboriginal art and the post-colonial art (after the British colonization of the 1700’s). Europeans who came to see Australia prior to the colonization were also the ones who documented these forms of art which are mainly called “natural-history art”.
Since there were no artists who came to Australia during those times, most of these “documented” drawings and illustrations were made by naval marine soldiers which were mainly depictions of flora and fauna, including the interesting Platypus which is unique to Australia and a few illustrations of the first colony while the natural-history art mainly depicts images of original aboriginal Australia and its daily life.
Today, many of these arts can be seen on many different National Australian museums across the country. If you are planning to visit Australia, you may choose to stay in beautiful hotels. Or, you may opt to look for alternatives like Sydney Accomodation and Melbourne Accomodation perhaps which are equally comfortable and pleasing. Others like other Brisbane Accomodation or some other Perth Accomodation spots can really be a good option for you if you want to have an economical stay in Australia, not to mention its proximity to museums and other tourist destinations. Consider it when visiting Australia.
